In the last blog we discussed about the dark pit called 'Depression' . Now we will discuss how to stop ourselves from falling into it. But for this we need to understand two things. The two things are nothing but our 'Mind' and our 'Body'.
Mind is a very complex yet it is the most interesting thing. You are nothing but your mind. The whole universe including you and me exist only inside your mind. We all know this but still it is very difficult for us to control our mind.
And sometimes it also happens that we give undue importance to our mind rather than our body. Mind is all about greed but body is only about our need. Body needs peace, body needs rest but mind needs more. It wants us to acquire more wealth, more power and more of everything.
The need of our body is very simple. It just requires nutritious food and good sleep. But our mind is never satisfied.
It matters to our mind about the type of plate in which we eat and the colour of mattress in which we sleep.
It doesn't matter to our body that we belong to the class of haves or the have-nots . It doesn't matter to our body that we are famous or not . It is only the mind that troubles itself with these unnecessary thoughts. Our body simply needs that we exist in tranquility with our surroundings but our mind jumbles itself with a hell lot of unnecessary things and makes itself restless.
This restlessness destabilizes the chemistry that exists between our mind our body which has an adverse impact on both of them. Sometimes your body doesn't support your mind and sometime your mind fails to do so. Hence, ultimately the vital link between our body and our mind breaks down, forcing us into a state of stress, anxiety and depression.
Therefore, what we can do in order to stop ourselves from entering into this dark tunnel of depression is to keep our mind and body in perfect synchronisation. We all must aim for a satisfied rather than a successful life. Because satisfaction is for ourself whereas success is for others.
Always remember that 'Contentment' should be the sole aim of human life. We should not get obsessed with the idea of perfection. Because beauty lies in all sorts of imperfections that exist within us. We must understand that there are things that are worth knowing whereas there are things that are worth not knowing. As it is rightly said that 'Where ignorance is bliss it's folly to be wise' . So let us not overburden ourself in the search of the unknown.
In this beautiful world, all of us have been allotted a limited span of time and we must spend this time living happily and peacefully. So in order to do this I request you all to 'Commit Suicide'. Suicide not of your body but that of your mind. That mind which is bogged down with hell lot of expectations and worries associated with it. Remember, in order for the phoenix to rise from its ashes it must first burn itself down.
Until Next Time,
Ashutosh
