Painting: Melancholy by Edvard Munch
A man has everything,
Everything including emptiness.
Everyday he wakes up in search of something,
Something that he doesn't even know.
He has everything,
Everything to satisfy his need and to some extent his greed.
But the thing that is close to his heart is emptiness.
The emptiness which can never be filled.
He finds himself lost,
Lost in the ocean of emptiness.
However there is no pole star to guide him.
He wanders,
And wanders in vain.
He finds each and every thing meaningless.
He even questions his own existence.
Nothing satisfies him, neither wealth nor women nor wine.
He craves for something,
Something unknown.
What is that 'something' he doesn't even know.
